The number of doses of vaccines used in Turkey to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has exceeded 85 million.
This is reported by the Internet resource “covid19asi.saglik.gov.tr” of the Ministry of Health of Turkey.
As of 12.30 on August 17, 44,546,631 received the first dose of the vaccine in the country, the second – 33,585,212, the third – 6,936,043 people.
Thus, a total of 85,067,886 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been applied in Turkey.
The coronavirus pandemic began with the detection of the first cases of pneumonia of unknown origin in the city of Wuhan in the Hubei province of central China at the end of December 2019.
