More than 113.18 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered as part of a mass vaccination campaign launched in Turkey on January 14. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Health of the republic on Wednesday.
According to the ministry, a total of over 54.67 million people received the first doses, and about 46.77 million citizens were fully vaccinated.
Over the past day, another 30,331 patients have recovered from a dangerous illness.
Another 31,248 cases of infection and 236 deaths were recorded.
The pandemic began with the discovery of the first cases of pneumonia of unknown origin in Wuhan, Hubei province in central China at the end of December 2019.
