Outgoing Iranian President: Radicalism is a dead end

Only moderation and constructive views will help save the country. The era of radicalism is over. This was stated by the outgoing Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at a meeting with the heads of government agencies in Tehran.

“We will not achieve development if we humiliate and damage each other’s image. I am of the same opinion as in 2013. Radicalism is a dead end, ”the president said, criticizing the conservative politicians.

Rouhani recalled that when the West imposed sanctions on Iran, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei called him “the commander in the economic war.”

The president further accused Israel and the Gulf countries of ex-US President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal with Tehran.

“Israel and its allies in the region passed information to Trump and said that withdrawing from the deal was the only right decision,” Rouhani said.
