While the wait for the official announcement of the new Nintendo Switch 2 console becomes increasingly frantic, the web is seething with rumors and alleged leaks. The latest one concerns the possible motherboard of the console, images of which have been spread on Reddit. A user on the r/NintendoSwitch2 forum has posted a series of photos of what appears to be a PCB board, whose shape resembles the mainboard of the current Switch. Among the visible components, an Nvidia chip stands out, a detail that would seem to confirm the partnership between the two companies. The source of the images remains uncertain at this time. The author of the post, MHN1994, claims that he is not responsible for the leak and that he found the photos in a Facebook group, where they were presented as belonging to the Nintendo Switch 2 motherboard.

Despite the unverified nature of the images, some details are interesting and in line with previous rumors. The PCB shows two USB-C ports, one at the top and one at the bottom, an element that has already emerged in various rumors. The use of the second USB-C port remains a mystery at the moment, but it could be used to charge the console in tabletop mode, as happens for example in the Lenovo Legion Go. It is essential to underline that the photos could be fake or refer to a different product . Nintendo, as usual, did not comment on the rumors. We remind you that the backward compatibility of Switch 2 with the games of the current console was confirmed by Nintendo last year. The official announcement of the new console is expected before the end of the fiscal year, in April this year.
