While the wait for the new Nintendo console becomes more and more palpable, the company has once again surprised the public with an unexpected announcement. This is Nintendo Music, a new mobile application dedicated to listening to the most iconic soundtracks taken from Nintendo video games of the last decades. Available today for Switch Online subscription holders, the app can be downloaded on both iOS and Android devices. Nintendo Music offers a vast selection of music from titles such as Splatoon, Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda, organized into themed playlists (games, moments, moods, characters) or customizable by the user. The app supports both streaming and downloading for offline listening.
Among the most interesting features, the ability to filter songs to avoid spoilers on games that have not yet been completed stands out. Additionally, users can set the loop to repeat or extend the duration of some songs to 15, 30 or 60 minutes, creating ideal background music for relaxation or concentration. The launch follows a series of recent announcements from Nintendo, including the Alarmo digital alarm clock and a mysterious MMO currently in testing, demonstrating the company’s willingness to explore new territory.
