The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday raided a total of 9 places, including a newspaper owner’s trust and some non-governmental organizations (NGOs), in connection with the funding of terrorism. Officials gave this information.
Local police and paramilitary forces along with the NIA team conducted raids at the trust’s office in the morning. The office is located in the premises of a major English newspaper office here.
He said that at least 3 other NGOs were raided by the NIA in connection with alleged terror funding in Jammu and Kashmir. These NGOs were established in the year 2000.
According to the NIA, these NGOs were receiving funds from unknown donors, which were being used to provide money to terrorism.
