The press release indicates that “mandated by the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, Othman Jerandi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, will travel to New York to participate in the work of the meeting of chiefs of delegation attending the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly “.
The statement added that “the minister will take part in a number of high-level meetings related to various ongoing international issues, including the political process in Libya and the humanitarian situation in Yemen.”
The statement added that “this participation will be an opportunity to strengthen multilateral cooperation to face a number of existing challenges such as the fight against terrorism, climate change and the fight against racial discrimination, in addition to related issues. sustainable development, human rights and gender equality. “
The Tunisian Foreign Ministry stressed that “an Arab-African meeting will be organized on the sidelines of this session, in order to develop the prospects for cooperation between the two parties and strengthen coordination in various regional and international issues.”
