The month of August is starting in a few days from now. The new month is bringing many changes with it. There are going to be many important changes in August which will have a direct impact on the pocket of the common man. These changes include the price of LPG cylinder, credit card, Google Map and Unity transaction. There may be a change in the price of LPG gas cylinder
Oil companies update the prices of LPG gas cylinders on the first of every month. In such a situation, there is a possibility of change in its prices on 1 August as well. On 1 July this month, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder was reduced.
Utility Transactions
Changes have also been made in the rules related to electricity bill, rent and other utility transactions through HDFC Bank credit card. These changes will impact various transactions, including those made through third-party apps for rent, education and utility bills. From August 1, all fare transactions made using HDFC Bank credit cards with the help of third-party payment apps such as CRED, PayTM, Cheq, MobiKwik and Freecharge will attract a charge of 1 per cent on the transaction amount. This charge will be limited to Rs 3,000 per transaction. Fuel transactions will not attract any extra charge for transactions less than Rs 15,000 per transaction. However, transactions above Rs 15,000 will attract a charge of 1% on the entire amount, limited to Rs 3,000 per transaction. HDFC Bank said that all the charges mentioned above are subject to GST as per government regulations.
Apart from this, 1% charge will have to be paid on utility transactions of more than 50 thousand rupees and fuel transactions of more than 15 thousand rupees. There will be no charge on insurance transactions. Also, HDFC Bank is charging Rs 50 for redeeming reward points for credit statement. If you want to avoid this redemption charge, then you should redeem your points before August 1.
The rules related to EMI processing fees have also been changed. Now you may have to pay a charge of up to Rs 299 to avail Easy-EMI at any online or offline store. Payments made directly through the college or school websites or their POS machines will be charge-free. The late payment charge process has been revised based on the outstanding amount ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 1,300. EMI processing charge of up to Rs 299 will be levied on availing the Easy-EMI option at any online or offline store.
HDFC Bank credit card transaction charges will be updated
HDFC Bank is also going to implement new rules for customers using its credit cards – Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus from August 1. Starting Thursday next week, Tata New Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card customers will get 1.5% New Coins on eligible UPI ID transactions done using Tata New UPI ID.
New rules related to Google Maps
Google Maps is going to make important changes in its rules in India from August 1. The company has reduced its service charges in India by 70 percent. Also, Google Maps will now charge for its services in Indian Rupees instead of Dollars. However, this will not make any difference to the common users, because Google Maps is not levying any extra charge on them.
After reading this news, the question must have come in the mind of common users that will they have to pay money to use Google Maps now. So there is no need to worry. Common users will not have to pay any kind of charges. Actually Google Maps provides free service to common people. But the companies that use Google Maps in their business have to pay charges to Google Maps in exchange for the service. Google Maps has made changes in this and reduced the charges. Along with this, now Google will take payment in Indian Rupees instead of Dollars for navigation service. Google Maps has made changes in its rules at a time when Ola has launched its own navigation app in the market.
Earlier, a monthly fee of 4 to 5 dollars was charged for providing Google Map navigation service in India. But after the change in rules, it has been reduced to 0.38 (31 rupees) to 1.50 dollars (125 rupees). While on one hand Google charges for its service, on the other hand, the service of Ola Map, which has recently entered the navigation market, can be used for free.
