This Monday, September 16 Netflix premieres the first part of the sixth and final season of the series ‘The Crown’, so the first images have been shared of the four episodes that will show the evolution of the love relationship between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before the fateful car trip through Paris that ended both their lives.
Elizabeth Debicki, actress who plays Princess Diana, said in a statement: “I think it’s a really unique challenge as an actress to portray those days. I really trusted Peter’s emotional plan that he created for us to follow. It’s his interpretation and I think it made emotional sense to me, so I held on to that. Because obviously it’s devastating and loaded, and we’ll never be able to know.”
One of the images they published is one that recreates Diana’s vacation with her children, Princes William and Harry in the South of France.
Imelda Staunton, who played the role of Queen Elizabeth II, spoke about her coexistence with the character and said she felt “comfortable.”
“I’ve been living with her for a long time, so if anything, I felt more comfortable this time. “I love her stillness and her ability to not get carried away by everything that must have been constantly happening around her throughout her life.”he commented.
Dominic West said of his character as Prince Charles: “I think there’s a real sadness to it and a real compassion to it, and what’s great about The Crown is that you see these public figures in private. I suspect that privately he’s quite emotional, at least that’s how I interpreted it… I think, hopefully, what comes out is compassionate, but relatively balanced.”
“I spoke to many people who have known him, because he has known many people, probably more than anyone except the Queen and Prince Philip. “Almost everyone has extremely warm and kind things to say about him.”detailed the actor.
For his part, Salim Dawnrado feels honored to play Mohamed Al Fayed, father of Diana’s last love: “I adore this character. I love him so much and I enjoy playing him because I love him. In this great series, he is so human and so colorful.Sometimes it’s hard, very hard, fun, like a child. With your son it is sometimes very hard, but “He has a lot of love for his son and the audience will see it and feel exactly what I’m talking about.”
Khalid Abdalla is Dodi Fayed in the latter. “It has been the honor of MY life to be part of this project, to be part of The Crown, and to play Dodi,” said the actor.
The last season of ‘The Crown’ will have two parts, the first that premieres this Monday, October 16, and the second on December 14, 2023.
