Congress leader Udit Raj might not have expected such a reply to his Air India tweet. Udit Raj tweeted against the Modi government for the sale of Air India to the Tatas. Udit Raj wrote that his position is his own. Nehru ji snatched Air India and Tata snatched it from Modi ji. To this BJP leader Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga replied in a quirky manner. The BJP leader wrote that Nehru ji’s party also snatched Udit Raj from us.
Tata bought Air India
The debt-ridden state-run airline company Air India has recently been bought by Tata Sons. Tata Sons’ unit Talace Pvt Ltd has done this deal for Rs 18000 crore. Ajay Singh of Tata Group and SpiceJet had bid for Air India. The sale of Air India is considered to be the most important in the privatization program of the Modi government.
Congress was holding hands when ticket was cut in 2019
Earlier in the year 2019, angry BJP MP Udit Raj had joined the Congress after being denied ticket in the Lok Sabha elections. After joining Congress, he is an anti-BJP Dalit party. In place of Udit Raj, BJP had fielded Punjabi singer Hansraj Hans from the North West Delhi seat. Before leaving the BJP, he had given an ultimatum that if he got the ticket, he would leave the party. He had also talked about contesting the election as an independent in the event of not getting the ticket.
Became MP by defeating Krishna Tirath
In the year 2014, Udit Raj became a part of BJP during the Modi wave. Udit Raj had joined BJP just before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. BJP had given him ticket from North West Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections. During the Modi wave, he won by defeating Congress candidate Krishna Tirath.
