PM Modi unanimously elected as NDA leader:The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unanimously elected Narendra Modi as its leader. With this, Modi took another step towards taking over the reins of the country as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. This decision was taken in a meeting of top leaders of the alliance parties at the Prime Minister’s residence on Wednesday, a day after the NDA got a majority in the Lok Sabha elections. TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also attended this meeting. From the BJP’s side, apart from Prime Minister Modi (PM Narendra Modi), party president JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah participated in the meeting.
Another NDA meeting may be held on 7 June
According to reports from sources, another NDA meeting may be held on June 7, after which a claim to form a coalition government (NDA Govt) may be presented to the President. Nothing has been officially said about the date of the swearing-in ceremony, but some members of the coalition believe that if the outline of the new government is prepared soon, the swearing-in may take place this week. In this Lok Sabha election, TDP has won 16 seats, JDU 12, Shinde-led Shiv Sena 7 and LJP (Ram Vilas) has won five seats. All these parties will play an important role in the formation of the new coalition government.

Will JDU and TDP have to be given big departments?
There is a buzz that parties like TDP and JD(U) may demand important portfolios for themselves in the new government, because their support will be very important for the formation and existence of the government. This time even though Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister, the look of the new government may look a bit different, because BJP has not been able to get a majority on its own. Therefore, it will have to depend on its allies to gain power and run the government. In the 543-member Lok Sabha, the NDA alliance has crossed the magic figure of 272 required for a majority by securing more than 290 seats. But for the first time since 2014, BJP has not been able to secure a majority on its own.

We all NDA leaders unanimously choose Narendra Modi as our leader.” The resolution said that 140 crore countrymen have seen the country develop in every field in the last 10 years due to the public welfare policies of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Modi.
