Navratri celebrated at Dubai Expo 2020, UAE painted in Indian culture

The Indian Pavilion at the Dubai Expo-2020 organized a concert marking the beginning of the nine-day Navratri festival. 192 countries have participated in the expo and 4,10,000 people came here in the first 10 days. Singer and winner of popular Indian music reality show “Sa Re Ga Ma” Sudhanshu Raj stunned with his scintillating performance at the ‘India Pavilion’ on Sunday.

The festival of Navratri lasts for nine nights and is celebrated to celebrate the victory of good over evil. India Pavilion Director Guneeva Chadha said that he wanted to share the spirit of the festival with the audience at large. In a statement issued by the Expo 2020 Dubai authorities, Chadha was quoted as saying, “The festival is in full swing in India and we are celebrating it here by introducing visitors to that culture.”

What is special in the pandal of India
India’s four-storey pandal promises to entice visitors here with a mix of Ayurveda, yoga, space program and a rapidly growing 2.5 trillion economy. Expo 2020 Dubai is a six-month long event and started on October 1. Expo 2020 Dubai was to be held last year but was postponed due to the pandemic.

411,768 tickets sold in first 10 days
It has welcomed 411,768 ticket holder visitors in the first ten days. Expo 2020 Dubai, which runs until 31 March 2022, has 200 pavilions for visitors. In addition to the attractions at each location, there are several daily events with panel discussions and cultural performances. This is the first global event after the Corona pandemic that has opened its doors to the whole world. It is also contributed by the world’s most successful vaccination program running in the UAE.
