The second day of competition (9.8) of the 2023 National Golf Championship took place with tension and dramatic competition. At the end of the second round, 52 athletes who officially passed the cut have been revealed and will enter the 3rd round (10.8) and 4th round (11.8), to conquer the prestigious trophy.
Athlete Nguyen Nhat Long is currently leading the rankings with a total of 139 strokes (-5). Nhat Long had an outstanding day with a score of -4. Starting the round smoothly with a birdie point at the starting hole, Nhat Long consecutively brought 3 more birdies at holes 13, 15, and 16, closed half the way with 4 birdies and caught a single bogey at hole 11.

Going to the next 9 holes, the athlete born in 2003 unfortunately got a bogey on hole 8 but quickly picked up 2 more birdies in hole 1 and hole 3.
Nguyen Anh Minh and Nguyen Dang Minh shared second place with a total score of 2 rounds (-3). Nguyen Anh Minh started round 2 with 3 birdies at holes 2, 4, and 7 and excellently achieved a free bogey in half the match. Although unfortunately with 2 bogeys in holes 10 and 12, the 16-year-old player still maintained a stable performance to close the second round with a total score (-1).
It seems that the climate conditions at Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong have caused problems for Nguyen Dang Minh when this player only scored 2 birdies but got 5 bogeys, totaling (+3) points in round 2. Ranked 4 is Doan Uy, score even par and 5th is Doan Van Dinh, score (+1).
In the women’s group, the most prominent was the “hole in one” shot from athlete Pham Thi Kim Chi at hole 4. With a distance of 148 yards, the athlete from Hanoi used a pitching wedge to kick the ball. The female golfer’s shot creates a beautiful curve, before hitting the ground and slowly rolling into the hole. Pham Thi Kim Chi closed 18 holes in round 2 with points (+17).
On the rankings, Le Chuc An continues to lead with a score of +1. At the start of the second day of competition, Chuc An got a bogey on hole 1 but she had 5 birdies on the following holes and only 2 more bogeys. Round 2, 15-year-old athlete hit a total of 70 strokes (-2).

Athlete Doan Xuan Khue Minh faced difficulties on the way to defending the championship
Nguyen Thao My temporarily held 2nd place and closed 36 holes with a score (+3). In the second round, she played even par with 3 birdies and 3 bogeys. Doan Xuan Khue Minh still maintains 3rd place on the rankings. The player of the Vietnamese golf team got a total score (+6), in the second round, she won (+2) with 3 birdies and 5 bogeys. In fourth place is Ngo Bao Nghi with a score of (+7).
The 52 athletes with the best results after 2 rounds have been revealed, to compete in the 3rd and 4th rounds on the way to conquering the national championship in the 2023 season.
