Ranchi: Babulal Marandi, said that in just one year 1765 cases of atrocities against women have been recorded, which is five cases of rape and murder incidents per day.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday accused the Hemant government that the state was in a state of utter chaos and the incident of rape in Ormanjhi in the capital Ranchi last week was also disgraceful to the Nirbhaya incident in Delhi. In Ormanjhi area, a beheaded naked body of a nearly twenty-year-old girl was found, who is suspected of murder after being raped. Police is investigating the case. State BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi, in an interaction with the media here, alleged that the incident of rape and murder of Oramanjhi’s daughter is gruesome and the state has become a state of complete chaos.
He said that now the water has gone above the head. The Hemant government has proved to be a complete failure to provide protection to the daughters of the state. He said, “Marandi, said that in just one year 1765 cases of atrocities against women have been recorded, which is five cases of rape and murder incidents per day.” Women are not safe in the State as there have been cases of women atrocities in Sahebganj, Barhait, Ramgarh and even State Capital Ranchi.” he said, referring to another incident in the Oramanjhi police station area that when a woman was raped, the police station showed evidence of rape by the victim. This is equivalent to double rape of a girl. He said that the government should take action against such policemen and police personnel, otherwise the Bharatiya Janata Party will be forced to hit the road.
