Armed groups opposed to the junta in Myanmar killed at least 740 soldiers during July supporting the participants in the military coup in the country.
This statement was made by representatives of the Government of National Unity (NUG) of Myanmar, formed by parliament members who did not recognize the junta in the country.
The Myanmar army suffers the greatest losses in the battle area in the city of Sikai, where 417 soldiers were killed.
The NUG reported that in a month between the opponents of the junta and the army, a total of 355 clashes took place, about 200 civilians were killed, 47 were injured.
The Myanmar army has not yet commented on the NUG’s claims.
