According to the above data, among all the sub-categories of equity funds, the direct plan of Quant Small Cap Fund has given the highest average annual return of 43.64% in the last 5 years. Quant Infrastructure Fund is at second place, whose direct plan has an average annual return of 34.72% in the last 5 years. Whatever be the equity fund, there is always market related risk in it. But investing in small cap and sectoral or thematic funds is considered riskier than diversified funds like flexi cap and multi cap.
