The international exercises Sea Breeze 2021, which started in Ukraine on June 28, ended on Saturday, July 10, in the port of Odessa.
The exercise involved 5,000 servicemen, including 18 special-purpose teams and diving groups. It involved 40 aircraft and 32 ships from dozens of countries around the world, including NATO members.
The Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Oleksiy Neizhpapa, said that all the tasks had been completed.
He said that during the exercise, divers went under water more than 330 times, the pilots flew over 80 hours, and the ships traveled over 13 thousand miles.
Neizhpapa noted that the Black Sea unites nations and countries, and stressed that “the sea is not a fence,” but “the one who does not understand this is the enemy.”
Sea Breeze is a multinational military exercise conducted in Ukraine since 1997 in accordance with the 1993 Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in Defense and Military Relations between the US and Ukrainian Ministries of Defense. The organizers of the exercises are Ukraine and the United States.
