Santi Denia’s team will face the Moroccan team in the semi-final of the Paris Olympic Games on Monday. After beating Japan (3-0), Spain is looking to win the gold medal.
Morocco promises to be one of the toughest opponents for the Spanish national team. The Atlas Lions started off in Paris 2024 against Argentina with a scandalous ending and a disallowed goal, but continued to demonstrate their strength with a victory over the United States (4-0) in the quarter-finals, the first time they have qualified for the semi-finals of the Olympic football tournament.
If Spain wins, they will face the winner of the other semi-final between France (who beat Argentina 1-0) and Egypt (who beat Paraguay on penalties).
