Morocco took another turn on Monday, announcing the advancement of the curfew at 9 p.m., in an attempt to stem the epidemic resumption linked to Covid-19.

The new measures will come into force on Tuesday, August 3.

While the kingdom, like other countries especially in Europe, is facing an increase in the number of contaminations, the government has decided in advance on the curfew established so far at 11 p.m.

At the same time, it will be forbidden to travel from and to the cities of Casablanca, Agadir and Marrakech, except for fully vaccinated people, medical emergencies, people in charge of transporting goods and goods, as well as employees with ‘a mission order.

Restaurants will also have to close at 9 p.m., while steam rooms, indoor pools and other gyms are no longer allowed to open.

Finally, gatherings of more than 25 people remain prohibited without exemption, as well as parties and wedding ceremonies.

The capacity of hotels and tourist establishments is 75%.

These new restrictions thus come into force in the heart of the summer season when thousands of Moroccans living abroad are there for the holidays.

Note that Morocco has recorded 4,206 new contaminations and 52 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total toll of the epidemic to 633,923 infected including 9,885 deaths.
