More than half of China’s population gets 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine

This is the first time China has released information on the number of people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in this country.
An NHC spokesman said that as of August 12, China had distributed more than 1.8 billion doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
China uses 7 domestic Covid-19 vaccines, of which 5 require 2 doses. Of the other 2 types, 1 requires 1 dose injection and 1 requires 3 doses.

Meanwhile, China recorded 47 new Covid-19 cases on August 12 – the lowest number since July 30 until now.

Currently, China is still struggling with an outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic that originated in Nanjing, Jiangsu province on July 20.
This outbreak has forced China to repeat the blockade, contact tracing and mass Covid-19 testing.
When testing all 12 million people in Wuhan, authorities discovered 37 new Covid-19 cases and 41 people infected with the virus showed no symptoms.
