The number of tourists arriving in Antalya by air since the beginning of the year has exceeded 8.6 million.
Due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) pandemic, only about 3.5 million people visited the “tourist capital” of Turkey last year.
However, this year the tourist flow to Antalya is growing against the background of high rates of vaccination, as well as compliance by tourist facilities of the resort city with measures to counter coronavirus.
The “tourist capital” of Turkey continues to attract the attention of tourists from all over the world with its nature, sea, sand and historical monuments.
According to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Antalya, from January 1 to October 31, the “tourist capital” of Turkey was visited by 8,615,626 guests.
Tourist flow to Antalya increased by 163 percent compared to the same period last year.
Last month, the number of tourists choosing Antalya for travel increased by 129 percent – to 1,599,345 people against 699,857 people in October last year.
