More than 1,000 cases of COVID-19 infection detected in Mongolia per day

In Mongolia, over the past 24 hours, 1,063 cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were detected, CentralAsia (MNG) reports, citing the country’s Ministry of Health.

In particular, 283 cases were detected in Ulan Bator, 780 in the regions, the official statement says.

Due to a dangerous infection in the East Asian country, 3 people died per day.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection in Mongolia increased to 166,210, deaths to 823.

During the day, 1,957 residents of the country recovered from the coronavirus, from the beginning of the pandemic – 168,844.

At the same time, the ministry said that 1,983,005 people were fully vaccinated against a new type of coronavirus in Mongolia. The day before, 14,306 people were vaccinated.

To date, 2,177,142 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in the country.

Thus, 67 percent of the population received the first dose, and 61 percent received the second dose.

As of August 2, 4,161,918 doses of vaccines have been used in the country.
