Why is Minh Khoa?
The presence of Vo Hoang Minh Khoa in the Vietnamese team is both surprised and … not surprising. Surprisingly, the 2001 midfielder was not in the “Radar to find people” by coach Kim Sang-Sik, when the Korean military leader used experienced midfielders such as Nguyen Hoang Duc, Le Pham Thanh Long or Doan Ngoc Tan.
However, not surprisingly, Minh Khoa played at the level that Mr. Kim could hardly ignore. The 24 -year -old has a favorable stepping stone, when playing for the team to develop inner soldiers like Binh Duong Club. However, Minh Khoa’s success has come from trying to be persistent and supple for many years, to change the prejudice from a pure player diligently, only to run and run, now becoming an almighty midfielder carrying the line between the team of the land.

Minh Khoa stepped on the first team of V-League stone in 2022, at the age of 21. It was not until the 2023 – 2024 season that this midfielder really won a foothold, with 23 appearances (14 main stones) and 2 goals.
Under the training of the difficult teacher Le Huynh Duc, Minh Khoa was arranged to play freely like a hard -working “shuttle” running on the tactical “loom” of Binh Duong. In the beginning, Minh Khoa was relatively truthful. The 24 -year -old midfielder cheered, enthusiastically disputes, intercepted, then pulled the ball to the upper level. The hidden enthusiasm in humble bodybuilding (only 1.73 m high) of Minh Khoa impressed both coach Le Huynh Duc at Binh Duong Club and coach Hoang Anh Tuan (U.23 Vietnam).
Even so, Minh Khoa was still just a rough gem. He lacked the blow like Ngoc Tan, did not reach the level of shielding and developing the ball like Hoang Duc. The midfielder of the Binh Duong Club pursues the omnipotence, but at the level … each knows a little. Mr. Thua gave U.23 Vietnam (once shining in U.23 Southeast Asia 2023 and U.23 Asia 2024), but was missing for the national team, when he had never been targeted.
However, as coach Kim Sang-Sik mentioned that he had to work hard to see the V-League so as not to miss the talent, Minh Khoa’s efforts in exchange for sweet fruits. Last season, Minh Khoa only kicked 53.8% of the matches for Binh Duong Club. And this season is 86.7%. He just sat on the bench 2 matches from the beginning of the tournament. Although the middle line with Odilzhon Abdurakhmanov, the star used to play 29 matches for the Kyrgyzstan team, Minh Khoa was not inferior.

If Abdurakhmanov took on the role of keeping the beat, Minh Khoa “plowed” and swept the middle line to set the gameplay. In the fourth season in the V-League, Minh Khoa was more mature. Handle alertness, energy modulation for important situations, good observation.
Statistics show that, whether playing for Binh Duong or U.23 Vietnam Club, Minh Khoa has many passes on the opponent’s yard with a high ratio. He dared to pass more, could both defend, then stabbed to support the attack as a tip thanks to the infinite energy source.

In the middle line, Minh Khoa will compete with 3 midfielders. Hoang Duc is at the peak of his form, as the owner of the middle area thanks to the ability to perform the ball and control the beat well. Ngoc Tan has passed the peak (31 years old), but still very strong and full. Thai Son has a rolling and durable play like Ngoc Tan, but younger and more experienced.
In the hands of coach Kim Sang-Sik, there are many quality midfielders, which each has its own nuance.
However, between midfielders still have a common point: are very hard -working, have a wide range of activity and impressive physical strength to kick for 90 minutes. Mr. Kim’s middle line may not need mutations, but must maintain a stable intensity of the game to ensure a balance in attack and defense.
