A social housing construction program is being successfully implemented in Turkey. This was announced on Wednesday by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the ceremony of handing over to the new owners the keys to the new housing unit, built with state funds.
“With the help of TOKI (Turkish Housing Agency), we have achieved what no one else in the world could achieve,” the Turkish President said.
According to him, thanks to investments of about 200 billion Turkish lira ($ 23 billion), millions of representatives of various segments of the population have become owners of their own apartments.
The head of state said that to date, through the efforts of TOKI, more than 1.1 million residential and commercial facilities have been built in Turkey, as well as 24,000 other facilities, including stadiums, hospitals, schools, dormitories and gyms.
The Turkish leader added that the construction of 76,000 units of social housing is ongoing in the country.
