Nintendo has officially announced a release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, the highly anticipated fourth episode of Samus’ first-person adventures, which began in 2002 on GameCube. After being announced for the first time in 2017, Metroid Prime 4 has become one of the most anticipated and at the same time most postponed games in Nintendo’s history. A few years ago, the historic developer of the series, Retro Studios, announced that it had completely restarted development of the game, which has now been announced as soon to be released in 2025 exclusively on Switch. The trailer that accompanied the news reveals the first gameplay scenes of the title, which is proposed as a first-person shooter and which will probably have several multiplayer functions in addition to a single-player campaign.
