The Afghan National Front will negotiate with the Taliban on condition that the group leaves Panjshir and Andarab.
This was stated on his Facebook page by the leader of the militia, Ahmad Massoud.
“The National Resistance Front is ready to immediately stop fighting to achieve lasting peace if the Taliban stop attacks and military operations in Panjshir and Andarab,” Masood wrote.
The Taliban have not yet reacted to the statement by Ahmad Massoud.
Over the past two days, violent fighting between Taliban and local resistance forces in Panjshir province has resulted in hundreds of deaths.
Previous negotiations between the parties were unsuccessful.
