A massive fire incident has come to light in Malad East area of Mumbai, Maharashtra, in which about 100 warehouses have been burnt to ashes. This fire that broke out in Khadag Pada area created chaos in the surrounding area. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade and police team reached the spot.
30 fire brigade vehicles and 5 ambulances are engaged in extinguishing the fire. However, narrow streets are becoming a major hindrance in the work of extinguishing the fire. As a precaution, the police have evacuated the nearby shops and warehouses.
The fire has engulfed chemical factories, wood, rubber and cloth warehouses. However, it is a matter of relief that no casualties have been reported so far.
An official said that the cause of the fire is not yet clear. It is being investigated whether the fire broke out due to short circuit or someone deliberately started the fire.
According to local traders, there has been a loss worth crores due to this fire. Traders have expressed deep sorrow over this accident. The police and administration have taken necessary steps to keep the situation under control at the spot.
