Maruti Suzuki Price slashed: Before the festive season begins, Maruti Suzuki has given good news to car buyers. The company has reduced the prices of its mini cars. Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest car manufacturing company, said on Monday that the prices of mini segment cars like Alto K10, S-Preso have been reduced by up to Rs 6,500. This price reduction is applicable on selected variants. The new prices of selected variants of Alto K10, S-Preso have come into effect from today, i.e. Monday, September 2.
How much has the price of which variant decreased
Maruti launched its mini car- S-Presso LXI petrol variant (Maruti S-Presso LXI petrol variant price slashed) has reduced the price by Rs 2,000. At the same time, the price of Alto K10 VXI petrol (Maruti Alto K10 VXI petrol varinat price cut) has now decreased by Rs 6,500. The Alto K10 is priced between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.96 lakh, while the S-Presso is priced between Rs 4.26 lakh and Rs 6.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

What does the monthly sales data say?
Earlier, on September 1, Maruti Suzuki had released monthly sales data. According to the released data, the total sales of the company’s vehicles in August this year has decreased by 4 percent on an annual basis. Last month, the company sold a total of 1,81,782 vehicles as compared to the sale of 1,89,082 vehicles in August 2023. Maruti Suzuki’s domestic sales have also declined by more than 8 percent on an annual basis. In August this year, 145,570 vehicles of Maruti Suzuki were sold within the country. A year ago in the same month, the company had sold 158,678 vehicles.
Mini car sales declined by 12%
If we look at the sales figures on the basis of segment, the sales of mini cars like Alto and S-Preso declined to 10,648 units in August, as against 12,209 units in the same month a year ago. Sales of Maruti’s mini cars have declined by 12 percent on an annual basis. Sales of compact cars like Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis and Swift declined by 20 percent to 58,051 units in August, as against 72,451 units in the same month a year ago. During this period, 707 mid-size cars of the company Ciaz were sold. Last year, in the same month, the company had sold 849 Ciaz.

The company has hope from the festive season
To increase their sales, most companies take various steps like price cuts, offers etc.The festive season is going to start in September. It is expected that the festive season will start soon. Keeping the season in mind, the company has announced a reduction in the prices of its vehicles.There may be an impact on vehicle sales. There is a possibility of improvement in sales of all car manufacturing companies including Maruti Suzuki during the festive season.
