Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his last tribute to the late former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. During this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister JP Nadda were also present and paid tribute to the former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Paying his last tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh ji has brought deep pain to the hearts of all of us. His passing is a great loss for us as a nation. It is not normal to come to India after losing a lot in that period of partition and achieve achievements in every sphere of life here. His life will continue to teach the coming generations how heights can be achieved by rising above privations and struggles… As an economist, he served the Government of India at different levels… As the Prime Minister, he served as the Prime Minister of the country. His contribution to development and progress will always be remembered…His life was a reflection of his honesty and simplicity…Today in this difficult time, I express my condolences to his family. I pay tribute to Dr. Manmohan Singh on behalf of all the countrymen.”

When will the funeral take place?
The last rites of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will be held on Saturday. Its official announcement can be made today i.e. on Friday. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal told the media in Delhi late Thursday night, ‘The funeral of former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh will be held the day after tomorrow (Saturday). We will announce it officially.
