Ilke Gundogan and Fernando Torres gave City a 2-0 lead within 12 minutes. Gabriel Jesus scored the third goal with an assist from newcomer Jack Greelish. The list was completed when Torres scored once again and Rodrigo scored. With the official victory, City are once again issuing a big warning to their opponents.
Chelsea draw with Liverpool
Champions League winners Chelsea draw level with Liverpool Chelsea took the lead in the 22nd minute through Kai Hawatz at Anfield, Liverpool’s home ground. Defensive midfielder Reese James was sent off before the end of the first half. Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot before Liverpool equalized. Chelsea managed to equalize in the second half with excellent defense.
West Ham first
West Ham United are top of the league with a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace. Midfielder Connor Gallagher scored both goals for Crystal Palace. Pablo Fonals and Michael Antonio scored for West Ham. West Ham are top of the table, but Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton have equal points.
Second win for Real
Defensive midfielder Danny Carval scored in La Liga’s second victory of the season for Real Madrid. Carval returned to the team after a long injury. It was a 1-0 victory over Real Betis. The goal came in the 61st minute from a pass by Karim Benzema. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are currently top of La Liga. The team defeated Alaves 4-1 and drew 3-3 with Levante. Betis, who have scored just two points so far, have yet to win this season. Real Sociedad and the Athletic Club won. Strong Barcelona will take on Getafe today.
