In Maharashtra, the government has now announced relaxation in the lockdown. For this, the Maharashtra government has prepared a five-level plan. Different cities and districts have been kept in different levels according to their level of infection and oxygen occupancy. In this, every district has been considered as a unit, while Mumbai and its suburbs have also been considered as separate units.
How much relief will you get in Mumbai?
Mumbai and its suburb Thane have been placed in level-3. Areas with a positivity rate of 5 to 10 percent or oxygen occupancy of 40 percent have been included in this level.
- Unrestricted movement will not be allowed in Mumbai after 5 pm. Only those in emergency need will be allowed to go anywhere.
- By 4 pm, sitting and eating will be allowed in restaurants and hotels with 50 percent capacity. After this only takeaway facility will be there.
- Due to being in level three, shops carrying emergency goods will remain open on all days of the week in Mumbai till 4 pm.
- Whereas shops carrying general items will remain closed at the end of the week. For the rest of the day, these shops will also be able to remain open till 4 pm. All private offices will also be able to remain open till 4 pm with 50 percent capacity.
- Gyms and salons will also be able to remain open till 4 pm. At the same time, cycling and walking can be done between 5 and 9 in the morning.
- At present, malls and theaters will not be allowed to open in Mumbai. Apart from this, other crowded places will also remain closed.
- If we talk about local trains, then even now only employees engaged in essential services will be able to travel in them.
Full relaxation in Level-1
Districts with less than 5 percent positivity rate and less than 25 percent oxygen bed occupancy will be kept in Level-1. In these, shops supplying essential goods and keeping general goods will be able to be searched regularly. Malls and theaters will also be allowed to open in these districts.
Ahmednagar, Chandrapur, Dhule, Gondia, Jalgaon, Jalna, Latur, Nagpur, Nanded, Yavatmal districts have been kept in Level-1. As mentioned above, all restrictions are being removed from these districts.
Level-2 controls only on theaters and crowded places
In Level-2, only two districts – Hingoli and Nandurbar have been kept. Let us tell you that those districts are being kept in Level-2, whose positivity rate will be less than 5 percent, but the oxygen bed occupancy will be between 25 to 40 percent. All these exemptions will be like Level-1, only malls and theaters will be able to open with 50 percent capacity.
Strictness will still continue in Level-4 areas
Districts with serious condition have been kept in Level-4. Strictness will continue here even now. Level-4 includes those districts where the positivity rate will be between 10 to 20 percent or the oxygen occupancy will be more than 60 percent.
There will be a ban on movement after 5 pm on normal days of the week. At the same time, the movement will be closed for the whole day in the weekend. Shops supplying essential goods will be able to remain open here on all days till 4 pm. At the same time, all other shops, malls and theaters will remain closed.
Pune, Buldhana, Kolhapur, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Satara and Sindhudurg districts have been kept in Level-4.
No district or city is included in Level-5
No district of Maharashtra has been included in Level-5. There are provisions of the most strictness here. Areas with more than 20 percent positivity or more than 75 percent bed occupancy have been kept under this level. Here only medical shops and essential items will remain open till 4 pm. Apart from this, all kinds of activity will be closed in these areas.
