The organization of the world’s largest religious and cultural fair i.e. Mahakumbh has started in Prayagraj today. On the very first day, crores of devotees came to take bath. On the first day of this religious fair, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted on Greeted the devotees.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, Hearty congratulations to all the saints, Kalpavasis and devotees who got the good fortune of taking Sangam bath on the auspicious occasion of ‘Paush Purnima’ in the auspicious festival of humanity ‘Maha Kumbh 2025’. Today, on the occasion of the first bathing festival, 1.50 crore Sanatan devotees got the virtuous benefit of bathing in Aviral-Nirmal Triveni. Maha Kumbh Mela Administration, Prayagraj Administration, UP Police participated in successfully completing the first bathing festival.Hearty thanks to all the departments of the central and state government associated with the Mahakumbh, including Municipal Corporation Prayagraj, Swachhagrahis, Ganga Seva Doots, Kumbh Assistants, religious-social organizations, various voluntary organizations and members of the media world! May the good deeds be fruitful, may the Maha Kumbh take place.
There is a huge crowd at the ghats of Prayagraj since morning and enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees. Mahakumbh has started from 13th January and will continue till 26th February. This Mahakumbh has come after 144 years and is considered very special. The first royal bath of Mahakumbh will be done on 14th January i.e. on the day of Makar Sankranti.
DGP Prashant Kumar said that Mahakumbh 2025 has started from today, about 1 crore people have taken a dip of faith. This time it is a confluence of faith and modernity. Apart from the traditional police system, we have provided better arrangements to the devotees. This time, all arrangements are being made to ensure that the Kumbh is grand, divine, digital and safe.”
