Mahakumbh 2025: Amit Shah took a dip in Sangam after reaching Prayagraj Mahakumbh, CM Yogi also bathed

Amit shah takes holy dip at sangham ghat: Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Prayagraj Mahakumbh and took a dip in the confluence. WoolAlong with this, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath was also present. Amid the chanting of saints at around 1 pm on Monday afternoon, Shah took a dip of faith, performed ‘water achman’, offered water to the sun and performed other rituals under the guidance of some top saints.

Shah arrived with family at Mahakumbh Mela

On Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah along with his wife Sonal Shah, son Jai Shah and his wife Rishita and his children reached Triveni Sangam for the holy bath of Mahakumbh Mela. He performed rituals with the family in Mahakumbh.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also took a dip at the VIP Ghat. At first he was with Shah but when senior BJP leaders were taking a dip, Adityanath went behind the group. Juna Peethadhishwar Mahamandaleshwar Acharya Awadheshanand Giri asked Adityanath to attend the ritual and the Chief Minister came forward again.

Amit Shah’s son Jai Shah participated in rituals including ‘Aarti’ at Sangam. Top saints also blessed the recent child of Jai Shah and Rishita. His elder daughter was with him during Aarti. Yoga guru Ramdev was also among the saints present on the occasion.

Earlier, on reaching Prayagraj, Shah was welcomed at the airport by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak. UP BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary and other party leaders were also present at the airport. At around 12 noon, Shah reached the VIP Ghat in Arail at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythological Saraswati. Shah along with Chief Minister Adityanath spoke to Juna Peethadhishwar Mahamandaleshwar Acharya Awadheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj and some other top saints at a ghat.

During Shah’s visit, unprecedented security arrangements were made in the fair area and Prayagraj. The fair area was declared a completely vehicle prohibition area, while the route was changed at many places in Prayagraj city, which affected the local people and pilgrims.

Earlier, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah expressed excitement to take a confluence in this mahaparva of unity and integrity in the Dharma Nagari city of Prayagraj and seek blessings of saints. Shah said in a post on the social media platform “X” said “Mahakumbh” is a unique symbol of the continuous stream of Sanatan culture. Aquarius shows our eternal life-philosophy based on harmony. ” He further said, “Today I am eager to take a confluence bath in this Mahaparva of unity and integrity in the city of Dharma Prayagraj and seek the blessings of saints.

Mahakumbh will run till 26 February

Today is the 15th day of Prayagraj Mahakumbh. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav reached the Sangam on Sunday. Today, Home Minister Amit Shah took a holy bath with the family. Please tell that the Mahakumbh Mela has started from 13 January and it will run till 26 February.
