As part of national strategies to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the fashion industry, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy has launched a new incentive measureas provided for by the interministerial decree of 8 August 2024. This initiative is part of the efforts to stimulate the ecological and digital transition of the textile, fashion and accessories sector throughout the national territory.
The intervention, detailed in the art. 11 of the Made in Italy Law (206/2023), makes 15 million euros available to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in this renewal process. Interested companies will be able to submit applications to access the benefits starting from 12:00 on 11 December 2024 until 31 January 2025, through the Invitalia online deskwhich manages the measure on behalf of the Ministry.
Concessions will be granted in the form of a non-repayable contribution and will cover up to 50% of eligible expenses, with a maximum ceiling of 60,000 euros per company. These funds can be used for a wide range of activities, which include staff training, the adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, the implementation of digital manufacturing solutions, and the acquisition of environmental sustainability certifications

Particularly investments in enabling technologies such as cloud computing, big data and analytics, advanced and collaborative robotics, additive manufacturing and 3D printing, Internet of Things, augmented reality and digital platforms for sharing skills are significant. These solutions not only favor the development of business processes and innovative products, but also improve the digital traceability of the production chain and support Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analysis for greater sustainability.
