Despite all international warnings, Israel has been bombing the Gaza Strip, which it has been blockading before the eyes of the world, day and night since October 7th. While Israel continues its massacre in the Gaza Strip, where it has cut off water, electricity and all living supplies, a great tragedy is taking place in hospitals that are about to run out of fuel and energy. The race against time began in hospitals that turned into morgues. Israel, which warned Gazans to go south but even hit the convoy of people fleeing, has amassed hundreds of tanks and thousands of soldiers at the border, barrels pointed at civilians, and is waiting for a ground operation. International organizations, on the other hand, are issuing warnings one after another due to Israel’s barbaric brutality that knows no bounds. Stating that ‘We have not seen the worst yet’, the UN evaluated that ‘humanity has not passed the test’ due to the events in the last week. Making a statement about Israeli violence, Martin Griffiths, Deputy Secretary-General of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, said, “I’m afraid we haven’t seen the worst yet.”
‘IT HAS BECOME UNLIVABLE’
Stating that medicines are running out in hospitals in Gaza and morgues are overflowing, Grafiths said, “The critical situation in Gaza is quickly becoming unlivable.” Underlining the need to protect civilians and civilian infrastructures, Griffiths said, “Last week was a test for humanity and humanity cannot pass the test.” He also warned against the risk of the conflict spreading in the region.
‘EQUIVALENT TO DEATH PENALTY’
The World Health Organization (WHO) reacted to Israel’s pressure to evacuate hospitals in Gaza. In the statement, it was noted that the forced evacuation of patients and healthcare workers would worsen the current humanitarian and public health disaster. It was reported that evacuation was “equivalent to a death sentence” for more than two thousand patients in hospitals, including newborns in incubators and people in intensive care. Humanitarian aid organizations warned that forced evacuation would cause untold human suffering. On the other hand, it was reported that Israeli warplanes bombed the Al-Ahali Hospital in Gaza city.
‘IF ISRAEL IS NOT STOPPED THE SITUATION WILL GET OUT OF CONTROL’
While the Israeli army is preparing for a comprehensive land operation in Gaza, a new warning came from Iran about the danger of violence spreading to a wider geography. Iran sent a message to Israel through the United Nations (UN), stating that “if the attacks on Gaza continue, it will have to intervene.” Iran’s Permanent Representation to the United Nations also shared a post on social media, warning that if Israel’s war in Gaza and humanitarian crimes are not prevented, the situation may get out of control, and this may have far-reaching consequences.
FROM UNICEF TRUCE CALL FROM UNICEF CEASE CAMERA
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) called for a ceasefire. The statement described the situation of children in the Gaza Strip as “catastrophic” and said, “UNICEF responds to the critical needs of children in the Gaza Strip, but access is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous. We need an urgent humanitarian ceasefire to reach children.” Pope Francis, on the other hand, wanted a humanitarian corridor to be opened in Gaza. While the EU reacted to Hamas on the first day of the conflict, it made statements of support for Israel. EU Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen, who recently said that Israel has the right to defend itself, has now announced that the EU will increase its aid to Gaza by 50 million euros to 75 million euros.
Even Israelis react to Netanyahu Ban after ban from the ‘so-called free West’:
IN PLACES THEY DRAGED
The hypocrisy of European countries, which talk about ‘human rights’ and ‘freedom of expression’ at every opportunity, has been revealed once again. European countries that support Israel’s massacre in Palestine banned support for Palestine in their own countries. While even Israelis took to the streets and reacted to the Israeli government, the ‘so-called free West’ implemented harsh measures against those who supported Palestine.
Although the French government banned solidarity demonstrations with Palestine in many cities, hundreds of people came together in the capital Paris the other day to support Palestine. However, the French police’s intervention against the demonstrators was harsh. The police tried to disperse the demonstrators by using tear gas.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrations were banned in many cities in Germany, citing the risk of “disturbing public order, security concerns and anti-Semitic statements”. Many people who wanted to demonstrate despite the ban were temporarily detained in Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich. On the other hand, the award ceremony for Palestinian writer Adania Shibli at the Frankfurt Book Fair has been postponed.
15 people were detained at the solidarity march with Palestine held the previous day in London, the capital of England.
MUSLIMS STANDING FOR GAZA
Muslims all over the world took to the streets for the Palestinian people massacred by Israel.
Demonstrations in support of Palestine were held in many cities in Australia. Thousands of people chanted slogans condemning “violence against civilians”.
A march in support of Palestine was held in Karachi, Pakistan, with the participation of tens of thousands of people.
Thousands of people demonstrated in Tunisia in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Demonstrators carried banners saying “The people want the freedom of Palestine” and “Our pride is Gaza”.
A demonstration was held in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, with the slogan “The Moroccan people stand with the Al-Aqsa Flood against normalization with Israel.”
The demonstrations in the South American country Chile drew attention to the human tragedy in Gaza. Activists demanded that the attacks be stopped immediately.
JUICE WEAPON USED AS
To displace more than a million civilians in the northern Gaza Strip, Israel agreed to supply water only to the southern region. Israeli Minister of Energy Israel Katz said, “The decision will result in the displacement of civilians to the south of the Gaza Strip, make it possible to tighten the general siege on electricity, water and fuel areas, as well as make it easier for the Israeli army to operate against Hamas infrastructure.”
GAZA HE RESIGNED FOR
Amsterdam-born, Moroccan-origin Kauthar Bouchallikht, the Netherlands’ first female headscarved MP, reacted to her party’s pro-Israeli stance by withdrawing from her parliamentary candidacy.
