The new League of Legends Worlds 2024 anthem has finally been released. “Heavy Is The Crown,” a powerful track performed by global powerhouse Linkin Park, is now available on YouTube and all major music streaming platforms. The accompanying music video stars legendary League of Legends pro player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. Faker is portrayed as a newly crowned king forced to defend his kingdom from a horde of challengers. Celebrating Faker and T1’s victory at Worlds 2023, the narrative is intertwined with the history of London, the host city of the Worlds Final on November 2, 2024, and its ancient kingdoms and dynasties.
The video is a tribute to the competitive spirit of League players and captures the essence of the challenge that awaits Worlds 2024 competitors. The song “Heavy Is The Crown” perfectly underscores the weight of expectation and the determination it takes to reach the top. “It’s been an incredible experience to collaborate with Riot to deliver this anthem to the global League of Legends community,” said Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda. “This song represents the culmination of a new era for us, harnessing our signature sound and re-energizing it. We can’t wait for players and fans to hear it.”
