Here reasons for non-generation of Annual Life Certificate, Jeevan Pramaan Patra :To ensure that retired employees from central government jobs continue to receive pension amount, they have to submit life certificate every year in the month of November. For the convenience of pensioners aged 80 years and above, the government has opened a special window for submitting life certificate from October 1. In both cases, the deposited life certificate remains valid till November 30 of the next year. This time the life certificate submitted will be valid on 30 November 2025. If the life certificate is not submitted on time, the pension amount due in December and thereafter will get stuck. In order for pensioners to continue receiving pension every month, they have to submit this important document on time.
Jeevan Pramaan is a digital life certificate that uses biometric data linked to the pensioner’s Aadhaar number. Pensioners can obtain this certificate sitting at home and can also deposit it in the concerned department very easily. They do not need to visit banks or other places. The pensioner does not need to appear before the Pension Disbursing Officer to obtain the Digital Life Certificate (DLC). The DLC is available digitally to the Pension Disbursing Agency and can be obtained by following the process yourself. In such a situation, it is not necessary to take digital life certificate from bank or post office itself. Apart from this, every DLC has a unique ID which is called Pramaan-ID.

What are the reasons for not making digital life certificate?
Jeevan Pramaan Patra i.e. Digital Life Certificate is not generated when there is wrong information or other type of mistake by the pensioner while generating DLC. Such as-
lack of good lighting conditions
Aadhaar Locked
biometric lock
Do not take photo of pensioner’s face from the front and take photo from the side.
having more than one person in the frame
Not maintaining proper distance from phone camera
not blinking during scanning
not keeping the face still
Uneven or multi-colored background during scan
Internet connectivity week
If the pensioner wears glasses, but there are no glasses in the Aadhar card photo, or vice versa, the pensioner does not wear glasses but there are glasses in the Aadhar card photo.
Using an Android smartphone with version 9 and above, camera resolution less than 13MP and free storage space less than 500 MB.
If the problem still persists, it is advisable to submit the life certificate to the bank branch.

Are these details required to create DLC?
The pensioner has to provide pension related information like Aadhar number, name, mobile number and PPO number, pension account number, bank details, pension sanctioning authority, pension disbursing authority. The pensioner also has to provide his biometrics, which can be either iris or fingerprint. In case of incorrect information or any other omission, the DLC may be rejected by the authorities.
