LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, Mahila Career Agents, MCA Scheme: Bima Sakhi scheme has been started in the country to financially empower millions of women and make them self-reliant. The target is to provide employment opportunities to 2 lakh women under Bima Sakhi Scheme. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this during a program organized in Panipat, Haryana on Monday. Citing statistics related to the insurance sector, he said that an LIC agent earns an average of Rs 15 thousand every month. These women can become Bima Sakhi in LIC
- LIC’s Bima Sakhi scheme is only for educated women.
- To become a Bima Sakhi, women must have at least 10th pass certificate.
- 10th women of minimum 18 years and maximum 70 years can become Bima Sakhi.
- Women who have a bachelor’s degree, after three years of training, they will get a chance to become development officers in LIC.

The above three documents should be self-attested by the female candidate. If incomplete or incorrect information is filled while applying, the application may be rejected.
How to apply

- First of all go to the official website of LIC https://licindia.in/lic-s-bima-sakhi.
- Now click on the Click here for Bima Sakhi acquis link visible at the bottom.
- After that fill your name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, address.
- Now if you belong to any Agent/Development Officer/Employee/Medical Examiner of LIC India, then give the details and finally fill the captcha code and click on the submit button.
Now the state and district will be selected in the next phase. Fill it and click on “Next” button.
After that the names of the branches under the district will be visible. Select the branch where you want to work and click on “Submit Lead Form”.
After submitting the form, a message will appear on the screen and a message will also be received on the mobile number given while filling the application.

How will the selection be done?
An official of Noida-based LIC branch told Financial Express that under the scheme of LIC, 10th pass women can become Bima Sakhi. However, for this they will have to contact their nearest LIC branch with the above documents. He said that women applying to become Bima Sakhi will have to give a common test, which will be conducted by LIC. A total of 50 questions will be asked in this test, which will be MCQ based. There will be four options given for each question. Candidates have to write the correct option from the given options for each question. There will be no negative marking for this exam. That is, marks will not be deducted for wrong answers and the candidate will get marks for the correct answer. To pass this test, female candidates will have to write correct answers to 17 questions. That means women scoring 33 percent will be considered successful in this examination. After which they will be trained.

How much money will you get in Bima Sakhi Yojana?
Under the Bima Sakhi scheme, the selected women will be prepared for insurance and related work for the next 3 years. For this, special training will be given by LIC. During training, Bima Sakhis will have to sell 24 policies every year. In return, they will get a stipend of up to Rs 7000 every month and also commission and bonus for each policy.
According to the official website of LIC (https://licindia.in/lic-s-bima-sakhi), under the scheme, the selected Bima Sakhi (10th pass women) will have to sell 24 policies every year. At least 1-1 policy will have to be sold monthly in the first four months, at least 2-2 policies monthly during the 5th to 8th month and 3-3 policies monthly during the 9th to 12th month.
By selling 24 policies in a year, you will get around Rs 48,000 as commission, excluding bonus. According to this, commission of approximately Rs 2000 will be available on each policy. Bima Sakhis will have to sell 24 policies each in the second year and the third year also. Also, out of 24 policies made in the first year, 65 percent i.e. 16 policies will have to be kept as equity. Similarly, 65 percent of the 24 plans sold in the second year will have to remain equity in the third year also.
The special thing about LIC’s Bima Sakhi scheme is that in comparison to normal agents, women career agents will also get a monthly stipend of up to Rs 7000, apart from the commission and bonus they get on selling the policy. Under the scheme, the selected Bima Sakhis will help in insuring the people of their area. For this, they will be given special training and during this period they will get a monthly stipend of Rs 7000 in the first year, Rs 6000 in the second year and Rs 5000 in the third year.
