LG Electronics will present the new series of UltraGear GX9 OLED gaming monitors at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, which aims to redefine the standard for the PC gaming experience. The 45GX990A, 45GX950A and 39GX90SA share LG WOLED display technology, offering images with high brightness, deep blacks and true-to-life colors, all wrapped up in a curved design that promotes immersion. The GX9 series was designed with users’ well-being in mind: the certification for low blue light emissions and the AGLR anti-reflection coating help reduce visual fatigue even during long gaming sessions.
The 45GX990A and 45GX950A models stand out for their large 45-inch display in 21:9 format with 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160), an absolute novelty in the panorama of OLED monitors. This ultra-wide format offers an extended field of view for a more immersive gaming experience, while maintaining greater content compatibility than 32:9 monitors. Both models integrate the second generation Dual-Mode functionality, which allows you to customize the aspect ratio and size of the images displayed on the screen, adapting the monitor to different types of games or activities.
The 45GX990A goes further, introducing the world’s first foldable OLED solution with 5K2K resolution. The adjustable curvature allows you to go from a completely flat configuration to a full immersion with 900R curvature, offering maximum flexibility and versatility. The 45GX950A model, however, features a fixed curvature of 800R and a Virtually Borderless design with thin bezels to maximize viewing area. The high pixel density (125 PPI) and RGWB subpixel layout ensure exceptional clarity and improved text readability.
Finally, the 39GX90SA model integrates the webOS operating system, transforming the monitor into a multimedia hub for home entertainment. Thanks to webOS, users can directly access streaming services without needing a PC or set-top box. The 39-inch curved OLED display with 21:9 aspect ratio offers brilliant colors and deep blacks, ideal for enjoying games, films and TV series in HDR.
