A playful take on the world of Horizon
Fans of Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel Forbidden West will remember very well the story of the young Aloy, hunter and fighter in a world dominated by mechanical creatures: for everyone else, this game introduces the story from scratch adding a humorous interpretation. The atmosphere of the original game is characterized by an intense narrative, breathtaking scenarios and strategic clashes, but here even the most dramatic moments are transformed into light and comical situations.
The machines, instead of exploding in frenetic battles, disintegrate into bricks, while the characters exchange biting quips at crucial moments. The world of Aloy, revisited in a LEGO key, maintains all its beauty, with settings faithful to the original, but enriched with fun details. The flora and fauna of the game are presented in the form of colored bricks, inviting players not only to explore, but also to have fun with environmental puzzles and side missions, in true LEGO style.
Accessible with a pinch of creativity
Although Horizon Zero Dawn was known for its tactical complexity, LEGO Horizon Adventures opts for a more accessible gaming experience, designed for a varied audience. The combat system has been simplified, while still maintaining Aloy’s wide range of iconic weapons, including the famous bow.
However, the heart of the gameplay lies in the puzzles and creative interactions with the environment, which require players to rebuild structures and solve puzzles using classic LEGO bricks. A particularly interesting addition is the local co-op mode, which allows two players to work together to tackle the challenges of
game. This mode increases the fun, especially in puzzles that require perfect cooperation.
One title for all platforms
One of the most notable aspects of LEGO Horizon Adventures is its availability on multiple platforms, while until now Aloy’s adventures were exclusive to PlayStation (and arrived much later on PC). In addition to PlayStation 5, where the game will offer a high-quality graphic experience with impeccable details, the title will also be available on PC and Nintendo Switch. The Switch version, in particular, is perfectly suited to those who prefer to play on the move, while the release on PC will guarantee an additional level of flexibility, allowing the modder community to customize the experience.
LEGO Horizon Adventures inaugurates the collaboration between Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo. Guerrilla Games, famous for the Horizon saga, brought its experience in terms of narrative and complex world building, while Studio Gobo, already known for its work on Hogwarts Legacy, added its creative touch, focusing on the design of lighter and more accessible game mechanics. This synergy has given life to a title capable of balancing narrative depth with a touch of freshness and irony.
