At 8:00 p.m. on January 5, the Vietnamese team rematched the Thai team in the second leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final. In the first leg at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho), coach Kim Sang-sik’s students overcame the “war elephants”. with the score 2-1. Therefore, just by holding the opponent in the second leg, Nguyen Xuan Son and his teammates will be crowned.

In the latest share, coach Kim Sang-sik of the Vietnamese team said the team’s only goal right now is to win the championship. “Only by going into the cave can you catch a tiger. We went to Thailand to do this,” coach KIm Sang-sik expressed and said that the Vietnamese team is fully prepared and ready for the final second leg.
Meanwhile, Coach Ishii of the Thai team believes that his students will play well and devote themselves to the thousands of fans who come to the stadium to cheer. Mr. Ishii also appreciated the strength of striker Nguyen Xuan Son and said that there is a plan to neutralize this striker.
If they surpass the Thai team, the Vietnamese team will win the Southeast Asian championship trophy for the third time in history (two previous times in 2008 and 2018). Nguyen Xuan Son’s talent and Hoang Duc’s high form are the motivation for the Vietnamese team to play against Thailand. In the first leg of the final, it was Xuan Son who scored both goals for the Vietnamese team.
The final match of the AFF Cup 2024 second leg between the Vietnamese team and the Thai team takes place at 8:00 p.m. at Rajamangala Stadium.
