Natarajan was earlier undergoing treatment for a knee injury. He was left out of India’s T20 World Cup squad due to injury. Natarajan Covid has confirmed that the BCCI will not change the match between Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.
The match between Delhi and Hyderabad will be played in Dubai. The match will be played at 7.30 pm. The BCCI said the test showed that all those in contact with Natarajan were currently negative. Vijay Shankar was the only team member who was in touch. Everyone else is on support staff.
This is the first time Covid has been confirmed as a player since the resumption of the IPL in the UAE and Oman. Earlier, the tournament had to be stopped after players reported illness during the IPL in India. The IPL has now resumed after five months. Three matches have been played since Sunday. If the disease spreads to more players, it will put the IPL in a big crisis.
