Kovid confirmed 15,692 more in the state; 92 deaths


Thiruvananthapuram: Covid-19 has been confirmed for 15,692 people in Kerala today. Today, it has been confirmed that 92 deaths in the last few days are due to Covid-19. The health department said in a press release.

Infected

Outbreaks were reported in Thrissur 2504, Ernakulam 1720, Thiruvananthapuram 1468, Kozhikode 1428, Kottayam 1396, Kollam 1221, Malappuram 1204, Palakkad 1156, Alappuzha 1077, Kannur 700, Pathanamthitta 561, Idukki 525, Wayanad 510 and Kasaragod 222.

Those who have recovered

A total of 22,223 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 2271, Kollam 1506, Pathanamthitta 738, Alappuzha 1507, Kottayam 1482, Idukki 889, Ernakulam 2730, Thrissur 2369, Palakkad 1590, Malappuram 2423, Kozhikode 2316, Wayanad 942, Kannur 1079 and Kasaragod 281 were cured. With this, 1,67,008 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. So far 43,32,897 people have been released from Covid.

89,722 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) is 2507 wards in 678 local bodies above eight. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 4,96,103 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 4,71,399 are under home / institutional quarantine and 24,704 in hospitals. About 1507 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Currently, out of 1,67,008 Covid cases, only 13.5 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

It has been confirmed today that 92 deaths in the last few days were due to Covid-19. This brings the total death toll to 23,683.

Today, 66 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. A total of 14,875 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 687 is not clear. The disease affected 64 health workers.
