Kolkata Knight Riders have appointed former Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun as their new bowling coach. The announcement was made by the Kolkata Knight Riders themselves through their social media accounts a while back. This is considered to be one of the breakthroughs on the part of the Kolkata franchise ahead of the 15th season of the IPL. Bharat Arun is a former bowling coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore who has worked in the IPL.

Bharat Arun, who has been the bowling coach of the Indian team for more than six years, was one of the leaders in the Indian coaching staff led by Ravi Shastri. He ended his service with the Indian team last year. Bharat Arun’s return to the IPL and T20 league for the 15th season this year. Bharat Arun, who was previously the bowling coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2015 to 2017, has resigned from the league following a rule that those associated with the Indian team should not work in IPL teams. Though there were hints that Bharat Arun might be the bowling coach of the newcomer Ahmedabad team to the IPL, it did not happen.

Apart from being the bowling coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, Bharat Arun has also worked with the Indian Under-19 teams. He was also with the team in the 2012 Under-19 World Cup, which India won. The arrival of Bharat Arun, who has extensive experience in international cricket and the IPL, is expected to help Kolkata a lot.
