Famous Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty has joined BJP. He has joined the BJP in the Prime Minister’s rally held at the Brigade Parade Ground.
Let us know that he is very popular in his home state of West Bengal. He has also been a Rajya Sabha MP from TMC, but due to health reasons, he left the post in 2016.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat also met Mithun Chakraborty at his residence on Tuesday morning. It was only after this that the talk of Mithun’s joining the BJP started getting air.
Meanwhile, election in-charge in Bengal Kailash Vijayvargiya had said that he has also talked to Mithun Chakraborty over the phone. The two are also going to meet each other on 6 March. Then both met also.
Reacting to the question of joining politics, Mithun Chakraborty had said that he would like to work for the poor by staying in the society.
A large number of people from TMC and other parties, including the Left, have joined the BJP just before the elections in Bengal. These include many former ministers, MPs and MLAs. Apart from this, many actors have also joined BJP.
