Kohli is neither in the Tests nor Rohit; Another captain will lead India against the Kiwis

New Delhi: Ajinkya Rahane is likely to captain India in the two-match Test series against New Zealand. Rahane has been given the captaincy after Virat Kohli asked him to rest for the Tests. Earlier in the series in Australia, Rahane led India in the absence of Kohli.

The first Test against New Zealand starts on November 25. It has been confirmed that Virat Kohli will not play in this Test. Rohit Sharma may not play in Tests after T20 series The selectors have decided to rest Rohit, who will play directly in the World Cup and later in the New Zealand series after the IPL. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Kohli may play in the second Test.
