Kodakara money laundering: K Surendran will be questioned by the police and notice issued

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K Surendran will be questioned in the Kodakara pipe money case. He was handed a notice stating he had to appear Tuesday morning. The police handed over the notice after reaching the house in Kozhikode.

Surendran was issued a notice by the police stating that he should appear at the Thrissur police club at 10 am on Tuesday. It is reported that Surendran will not appear for questioning despite the notice. The BJP had earlier stated that it would not co-operate with the interrogation in the Kodakara robbery case. According to BJP sources, the decision will not be changed.

The robbery took place on April 3, 2021 at around 4.30 am near the Kodakara flyover. According to police, the BJP had brought the money from Karnataka for the Assembly election campaign. The BJP claims that out of the Rs 3.5 crore seized, Rs 3.25 crore belongs to Dharmarajan and Rs 25 lakh to Sunil Naik.
