Kalki 2898 AD: Kalki will cross 500 crores in the first weekend! This much is expected to be earned on the second and third day

Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan’s film Kalki 2898 AD (Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Opening Day Collection) has made a great opening at the box office. The film has earned 191.5 crores (gross) worldwide on the first day of its release. Vyjayanthi Movies has made this claim in a post on the social media platform Instagram on Friday. Vyjayanthi Movies is one of the biggest film production houses in Telugu cinema.

Industry tracker Sacnilk has estimated the worldwide collection of the first day of release to be around 175 crores. In India alone, the film Kalki collected a gross of 114 crores on the first day. The film earned 95.3 crores on the opening day within the country. In foreign countries, the film opened with 61 crores.

The film Kalki 2898 AD has been released in theatres on Thursday 27 June. The film has 4 days in the first week in which Thursday and Friday i.e. today are working days. On the first day of release, Prabhas’ film has earned around 180 crores. Huge earnings are expected on the second and third day as well. If the collection continues like the first day of release, then the film Kalki will cross the 500 crore mark in its first week.

The film Kalki earned 95.3 crores on the first day of its release in the country. There are reports of a decline in the estimated trend of earnings on the second day. If media reports are to be believed, the film Kalki 2898 AD can earn around 50 crores in India on its second day. Due to which the domestic collection of the film is expected to reach around 150 crores in just two days.

Kalki has become the third biggest opening film in India in terms of collection. Top of this list is Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s film ‘RRR’. SS Rajamouli’s directorial film RRR earned Rs 220 crore before its release worldwide. The film ‘Bahubali 2′ is at the second place. Prabhas’ film Baahubali 2 earned Rs 214 crore on the opening day.

Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD is directed by filmmaker Nag Ashwin. Apart from Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan have played important roles in the film. Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda’s cameo is also seen in the film.

The film is said to be mythological. It starts with the backdrop of Mahabharata. On the battlefield, Shri Krishna curses Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) to never die. However, with this curse, he also gives Ashwatthama a chance to repent.Shri Krishna tells Ashwatthama that after thousands of years, when there will be only evil in every corner of the world, when atrocities on people will increase, then an incarnation of God named Kalki will be born. However, his birth will not be easy. The demonic forces will try their best to ensure that he does not come to earth. In this situation, Ashwatthama will get an opportunity to wash away his sins by protecting God.
