The casting for the remake of “Renascer” continues and two more names have been confirmed: Juan Paiva and Rodrigo Simas will play the sons of José Inocêncio, played by Marcos Palmeira.
Juan will give life to João Pedro, who left Palmeira in 1993, while Simas will play José Bento, in the past played by Marco Ricca.
The cast also has names like Humberto Carrão, who will be the young José Inocêncio in the first phase and is quoted to be one of the sons in the second part, but the decision is not yet closed.
Other actors already confirmed for the production, scheduled to occupy the 9 pm slot from January 2024, are actresses Juliana Paes and Maria Fernanda Candido. Paes will play Jacutinga, the brothel owner played by Fernanda Montenegro in the original telenovela.
Maria Fernanda is in negotiations for the role of Dona Patroa, one of the first highlights of Eliane Giardini’s career on television. In the plot, she is the wife of Teodoro, a foe of José Inocêncio, and suffers from her husband’s infidelity.
Singer Xamã passed the audition to play Damião, which originally went to Jackson Antunes. Antunes, in turn, will appear in the skin of Deocleciano, José Inocêncio’s first employee and right-hand man. Sophie Charlotte will appear in the role of Eliana, played by Patrícia Pillar in 1993.
The newspaper O Globo announced that Gabriel Sater and Almir Sater, father and son in real life, will share the character Rachid. While Gabriel will play the peddler in the first phase, the father will assume the role in the second.
