Voting for the first phase has started in Jharkhand today i.e. on Wednesday. Voting for the first phase has started at 7 am and will continue till 5 pm. Voting is taking place on 43 seats in Jharkhand today. Let us tell you that it will be held on 20th November on other 38 seats of the states. Election results will come on 23rd November along with Maharashtra. The tenure of the current assembly in Jharkhand ends on January 5, 2025. There are also 950 booths in the state, where voting time will be till 4 pm only.

In Jharkhand, 15344 polling stations have been created for 43 seats in the first phase. 200 companies of central paramilitary forces have been deployed to ensure fair, transparent and peaceful voting. According to the Election Commission, a total of 683 candidates are in the fray in the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections. These also include 73 women candidates. Of the 43 assembly seats in the first phase, 17 are general, while 20 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes and 6 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes.
